You have a finished photo and want grain on it. Use the photo editor. It applies grain, fade, warmth, vignette, and black and white in one pass, lets you control grain separately in shadows, midtones, and highlights, and exports JPEG, WebP, or PNG. Batch mode applies the same settings to a whole set.
You edit in Photoshop, a video editor, or a design app. Use a grain overlay. It stays on its own layer, so you can change its strength at any time. Pick a preset from the overlay library or tune every parameter in the texture generator. Video editors should download the animated loop, because a still grain layer over moving footage looks like dirt on the lens.
Your app has no Overlay blend mode. Download the transparent grain PNG, which works with Normal blending in Canva, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
You want a specific film look. Start from a film stock recipe or a tested look, then adjust it in the editor. To stay in your usual software, follow the app-specific grain guides.
Every tool runs in your browser: images and textures are never uploaded, and there is no watermark. Settings use a deterministic seed, so the same values always produce the same grain.
